Mike Murtha, a proud member of the Board of Directors at Carly’s Hope, brings over three decades of executive leadership and strategic insight to the organization. His professional background, combined with his personal experience with adoption, fuels his passion for supporting families and children through Carly’s Hope’s mission.
Mike is the founder of Legacy Career Consulting, where he leverages over 35 years of experience in the professional recruiting and career placement industry. Prior to launching his own consulting firm, he served as Executive Vice President of a professional recruiting company for more than 18 years, leading the organization to record growth and success across IT, engineering, and accounting sectors. Under his leadership, the company earned recognition as one of the Fastest Growing Companies, Best Places to Work, and Harrisburg’s Simply the Best.
Throughout his career, Mike has earned a reputation for excellence in developing high-performing recruiting teams and connecting thousands of professionals with career opportunities in both direct hire and long-term contract roles. His unique approach to coaching, mentoring, and leadership has made a lasting impact on the individuals and organizations he has served.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike is a devoted husband of over 25 years and a proud father of three exceptional children. He values time spent with his family—whether at their cabin, cheering on their children’s activities, or enjoying the company of their two lively dogs, a labradoodle and a bernedoodle. His family is the cornerstone of his life, and his journey as an adoptive parent has been a profound and joyful experience.
